Our Mission

Meet the smile that started it all. Brian’s dog Tyson was the inspiration for Tyson ’n Friends Rescue. His smile and unwavering love for life set the path to help dogs find happy and safe settings that they could call home. Every dog deserves a chance at life with a place they are loved and cared for. Tyson n Friends is a rescue organization that specializes in helping dogs that need homes urgently. Working with local shelters and community partners, we strive to home dogs that need to find placement out of their current situation and get them into a safe environment. Once we have secured safe shelter, we then take the time with our team of trainers and behavior specialists to assess each dog and their long term needs. When this process is complete we begin the task of finding the right family and fit to transition into a forever home. Having a community of friends, fosters and supporters allows us to continue our work every day. They say it takes a village, and we are always looking to add to ours.

Our Vision

We want to ensure that after 10 years there are no homeless animals on the street. Every single animal find their sweet home.

Recent Success

In five years we find more than 5000 cats and dogs around the Canada. 3000 already find thier sweet home and more are knocking the door.

Fostering is a core need of Tyson n Friends. We are always looking for temporary homes to place our dogs where they can rest and take time to be assessed and show their true selves. Fostering holds a special place in our hearts as it is often the first stop for a dog coming out of a bad situation. Caring for a dog is an expensive endeavorer, caring for the rescue and treatment of hundreds of dogs can seem insurmountable. Tyson n Friends faces thousands of dollars in vet care, food and supply bills every month. Donations are what keep us out there helping every dog that we can have a better life. We have to make decisions everyday on how much we can do with how much we have and it is truly the hardest part of our job. No donation is too small and we promise every dollar goes to giving one of our dogs a happier life. It should also be said that not all of our donations are monetary. Some of our biggest donations come in time and talent. If you have some spare time and would like to help our team in setting up events, driving dogs to safe locations or even lending a hand in by offering specialized services we are more than happy to talk and see where you can assist. My husband and I adopted Ruby from Tyson n Friends in March 2018. Brian was able to pull Ruby from an unfortunate situation to give her a chance at being a normal dog with a loving family. Ruby has fit right in with our other dogs. She has completed 2 obedience classes and an agility class in the last year. Ruby is a sweetheart.

I would recommend Tyson n Friends to anyone looking for a bully type dog. They go to great lengths to make sure each dog is fully vetted, assessed and placed with the appropriate foster homes until the perfect forever home is found.
